Solano County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA)

The Solano County SELPA coordinates with school districts and the Solano County Office of Education to provide a continuum of programs and services for individuals with special needs from birth through 22 years of age. We serve as a resource to the community on issues related to special education.

The Solano County SELPA office is located at the Solano County Office of Education, 5100 Business Center Drive, Fairfield, 707-399-4460.

Solano County SELPA's primary role is to ensure that the specialized education needs of each student with special needs in the Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield-Suisun, Travis, Vacaville and school districts are appropriately met. These five school districts or Local Education Agencies (LEA) and the County Office of Education comprise the membership of the Solano County SELPA.
