Topic: Visual Supports

Visual Supports is an Evidence Based Practice (EBP) used to help learners organize and
participate in their environment by enhancing the individual's ability to understand and anticipate events. Research has shown that visual supports improve independence, learning rates, flexibility with changes, and devrease levels of frustration, anxiety, and agression related to task completions. Audience: This Training is designed for ALL staff working with our students with special needs who are new to or need a refresher on Visual Supports.

Location: Solano County Office of Education - Peña Adobe Room; 5100 Business Center Drive, Fairfield, CA 94534

Approvals: Approval of the Director of Special Education from each Solano County SELPA member LEA is required for attending.

Fee: No fee for Solano County SELPA members. $75.00 per professional outside of the Solano County SELPA.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received less than seven days prior to the date of the workshop will be charged the full registration. Substitutes are accepted.
