Topic: Assistive Technology Assessment & Implementation: A Guide to Evidence-Based Decision Making
Assistive Technology can cost school districts great sums of money, often with little outcome evidence available. How can educators know which AT supports are truly educationally necessary? What considerations are needed to make an informed decision? What components are necessary to provide a sound AT assessment with evidence-based decisions? Is the recommended equipment or app truly matched to the students’ abilities? This presentation will answer all of these questions and help you develop evidence-based AT procedures. You will also learn some crucial aspects of AT implementation that are often overlooked.
